THE ASSAM BOARD OF REVENUE) (AM ENDMENT ) ACT, 2017

    An Act further to amend the Assam Board of Revenue Act, 1962.

    Preamble:- Whereas it is expedient further to amend the Assam Board of Revenue Act, 1962 hereinafter referred to as the principal Act, in the nianner hereinafter appearing;

    It is hereby enacted in the Sixty-eighth Year of the Republic ofIndia as follows :-

1. Short title, extent and commencement:- (1) This Act may be called the Assam Board of Revenue (Amendment) Act, 2017.

(2) It shall have the like extent as the principal Act.

(3) It shall come into force at once.

2. Amendment of section 3:- In the principal Act, in section 3, for sub-section (7), the following shall be substituted, namely :-

"(7) No person shall be retained as member of the;Board after he/she has attained the age of 62 years except for those members who are borne on a particular service, in which case, their date of retirement .shallbe. governed ;~ 1h'err -respective service conditions."
