THE INDUSTRIAL DISPUTES (ASSAM AMENDMENT) ACT, 2017

ASSAM ACT NO. XXII OF 2018

    An Act further to amend the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947 in its application to the State of Assam.

    Preamble:- Whereas it is expedient further to amend the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947, hereinafter referred to as the principal Act, in its application to the State of Assam, in the manner hereinafter appearing;

    lt is hereby enacted in the Sixty-eighth Year of the Republic ofindia as follows :-

1. Short title, extent and commencement:- (1) This Act may be called the Industrial Disputes (Assam Amendment ) Act, 2017.

(2) It extends to the whole of Assam.

(3) It shall come into force at once.

2. Amendment of section 25k:- In the principaJ Act, in section 25K, for the words "one hundred", appearing in between the words "'than" and "workmen", the words "three hundred" shall be substituted.
