KERALA CINEMAS (REGULATION) ACT, 1958

(ACT 32 OF 1958)

An Act to proiide for the regulation of exhibitions by menus of cinematographs in the Strife of Kerala.

Preamblc.—WHEREAS it is expedient to provide for the regulation of exhibitions by means of cinematographs in the State of Kernla;

BE it enacted in the Ninth Yenr of the Republic of India as follows:—-

l. Shnrt title, silent and wmmrnrrmenl —(1) This Art may be called the Kerala. Cinemas (Regulation) Act. 1958.

(2) It, extends to the whole of the State of Kerals.

(3) It shall come into force on such data as the Gow-rnmeut may, by notificntiou, appoint.

2‘ Definilion — In this Act. unless the context otheruisc requires;

(1) ”cinernatogrnph" includes any nppzimtus{or the represent» Mien of moving pictures or series of pictures

(2) “notification" means a notification published in the Gazette;

(3) “place" includes a house, building, tent and my description ot‘transport. whether by water, land or air;
