THE KERALA ESSENTIAL ARTICLES CONTROL (TEMPORARY POWERS) CONTINUANCE ACT, 1976

(Act 17 of 1976)

    An Act further to continue the Kerala Essential Articles Control (Temporary Powers) Act, 1961

    Preamble.- WHEREAS tt ts expedtent further to contmue the Kerala Essential Arttcles Control (Temporary Powers) Act, 1961, for a further period,

BE it enacted in the Twenty-seventh Year of the Repubhc of India as follows:-

1 Short title.-This Act may be called Kerala Essential Articles Control (Temporary Powers) Act, 1976.

2 Amendment of section 1:- In sub-section (3) of section 1 of the Kerala Essential Articles Control (Temporary Powers) Act, 1961 (3 of 1962) (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act), for the words "fourteen years", the words "seventeen years" shall be substituted

3. Repeal and saving.-(1) The Kerala Essential Articles Control (Temporary Powers) Continuance Ordinance, 1976 (l of 1976) is hereby repealed.

(2) Nowithstanding such repeal, anythmg done or any action taken under the principal Act as amended by the said Ordinance shall be deemed to have been done or taken under the principal Act as amended by this Act as if this Act had come into force on the 15th day of January, 1976
