THE MEGHALAYA APPROPRIATION (No. II) ACT, 1988

MEGHALAYA ACT NO. 6 OF 1988

    An Act To authorise payment and appropriation of certain sums from and out of the Consolidated Fund of Meghalaya for the services of the financial year ending on the thirty-first day of March, 1989

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Meghalaya in the Thirty-ninth Year of the Republic of India as follows:-

1. Short title and Commencement :- (1) This Act may be called the Meghalaya Appropriation (No. II) Act, 1988

(2) It shall be deemed to have come into force on the first day of April, 1988.

2. Withdrawal of Rs. 3,63,47,86,700 from and out of the Consolidated Fund of Meghalaya for the financial year 1988-89 :- From and out of the Consolidated Fund of Meghalaya there may be paid and applied sums not exceeding those specified in Column (3) of the Schedule amounting in the aggregate [inclusive of the sum specified in column (3) of the Schedule to the Meghalaya Appropriation (Vote-in-Account) Act, 1988] to the sums of three hundred sixty three crores, forty seven lakhs, eighty six thousand, seven hundred Rupees towards defraying the several charges which will come in the course of payment during the financial year ending on the thirty-first day of March, 1989 in respect of the services specified in Column (2) of the Schedule.

3. Appropriation:- The sums authorised to be withdrawn from and out of the Consolidated Fund of Meghalaya by this Act, shall be appropriated for the services and purposes expressed in the Schedule in relation to the said year.
