THE MEGHALAYA LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY (FIXATION OF QUORUM) ACT, 1989
ACT NO. 7 OF 1989
An Act To provide for fixation of quorum for meetings of the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Meghalaya in the Fortieth Year of the Republic of India as follows:-
1. Short title and Commencement:- (1) This Act may be called the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly (Fixation of Quorum) Act, 1989
(2) It shall come into force at once.
2. Fixation of quorum for meetings of the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly:- With effect from the commencement of this Act the quorum to constitute a meeting of the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly shall be one-tenth of the total number of the member thereof.
