Provincial Small Cause Courts (Delhi Amendment) Act, 1996
(Delhi Act 8 of 1996)
An Act to amend the Provincial Small Cause Courts Act, 1887 as applicable to the National Capital Territory of Delhi.
Be it enacted by the Legislative Assembly of the National Capital Territory of Delhi in the Forty Seventh Year of Republic of India as follows:--
1. Short Title extent and commencement :-- (i) This Act may be called the Provincial Small Cause Courts (Delhi Amendment) Act, 1996.
(ii) In extends to the whole of the National Capital Territory of Delhi.
(iii) It shall come into force at once.
2. Amendment of Section 15:- In its application to the National Capital Territory of Delhi, in section 15 of the Provincial Small Cause Courts, 1887--
(i) In sub-section (2), for the words “five hundred rupees”, the words “five thousand rupees” shall be substituted.
(ii) In sub-section (3) for the words “one thousand rupees”, the words “ten thousand rupees” shall be substituted.
