बीज से वृक्ष बना भोपाल उत्सव मेला : राज्यपाल श्रीमती आनंदीबेन पटेल

राज्यपाल श्रीमती आनंदीबेन पटेल ने भोपाल उत्सव मेला का शुभारंभ करते हुए कहा कि मुझे मध्यप्रदेश में रहते हुए एक वर्ष पूरा हो रहा है। यहाँ किसी मेले में आने का मेरा यह पहला मौका है और मुझे यहाँ आकर अच्छा लग रहा है। उन्होंने कहा कि मेला शब्द मेल से बना है और जहाँ बहुत से स्त्री-पुरुष, बच्चे इकट्ठे होकर आनंदित हो, अपनी मन-पसंद चीजें देखें और खरीदें इससे अच्छा क्या हो सकता है। हमारे देश में पहले मेले धार्मिक स्थानों पर ही लगते थे। पर अब उसका स्वरूप बदला है। मेले धार्मिक उद्देश्यों के साथ-साथ आर्थिक-सामाजिक और सांस्कृतिक उद्देश्यों से लगने लगे हैं। इन सबके अलावा आजकल पुस्तक मेलों का आयोजन भी हो रहा है और इन पुस्तक मेलों से प्रबुद्ध वर्ग को बहुत फायदा हुआ है। दिल्ली में लगने वाला विश्व पुस्तक मेला ने विदेशी पाठकों के बीच अपना स्थान बनाया है। इस अवसर पर जनसम्पर्क मंत्री श्री पी.सी. शर्मा विशेष रूप से उपस्थित थे।
मेला समिति के अध्यक्ष श्री मनमोहन अग्रवाल ने राज्यपाल का स्वागत करते हुए कहा कि भोपाल मेले को शुरू करने में भास्कर समूह के संस्थापक स्वर्गीय श्री रमेश चंद्र अग्रवाल का महत्वपूर्ण योगदान रहा है। मेला 27 वर्षों से निरतंर चल रहा है। वर्ष 1991 में सिर्फ 60 स्टाल शुरू होकर आज विशाल आकार लेता जा रहा है। अब यहाँ लगभग 600 स्टाल लगते हैं। यहाँ भोपाल ही नहीं अब तो आस पास के गाँवों और शहरों के लोग बड़ी संख्या में इस मेले में घूमने के लिए आते हैं।
मेला समिति के महामंत्री श्री संतोष अग्रवाल ने आभार व्यक्त करते हुए कहा कि यह मेला भोपाल शहर की पहचान बन गया है। यहाँ मनोरंजन के साथ-साथ नि:शुल्क हेल्थ हेल्थ कैम्प भी लगाया गया है। यहाँ नारायण सेवा संस्थान, उदयपुर के सहयोग से नि:शक्तजनों के लिए कृत्रिम अंगों का वितरण होगा। एलोपैथी के डॉक्टरों द्वारा नाक, कान, गला, केंसर आदि की जाँच होगी। दंत परीक्षण, शुगर की जाँच के अलावा नेत्र परीक्षण कर नि:शुल्क चश्मों का वितरण किया जायेगा।
The Governor Smt. Anandiben Patel while inaugurating Bhopal Utsav Mela said that she has spent more than a year in Madhya Pradesh, she went to many places during this tenure but this is the first occasion for her to visit any fair and she is pleased to come to this place. Mela word originated from Mel (Togetherness), where males, females and children assemble and enjoy, watch and purchase things of their liking together, what could be better than this. Fairs were organized in our country in the past at religious places only, now its form has changed, now fairs are organized with the intention of socio-economic and cultural objective besides religious objective. Apart from this Books Fairs are also being organized resulting in benefitting enlightened section of the society. The World Book Fair organized in Delhi has carved its special place among the readers of abroad. Minister for Public Relations Shri P.C. Sharma was the Special Guest on the occasion.
Welcoming the Governor, the President of Mela Committee Shri Manmohan Agrawal said that the Founder of Bhaskar Group Shri Ramesh Chandra Agrawal had given an important contribution in starting Bhopal Mela and this fair is continuing since the last 27 years. The mela started with just 60 stalls in the year 1991 has taken a grand form today with 600 stalls. The ground has also become small now, not only citizens of Bhopal but people from the nearby villages and cities in large number come to enjoy here.
Expressing gratitude towards the Governor, the Secretary of Mela Committee Shri Santosh Agrawal said that Mela has become the identity of Bhopal. Apart from the amusement activities, free health camp is also being organized here. Artificial limbs will be distributed to handicapped with the cooperation of Narayan Seva Sansthan, Udaipur during the fair. Allopath doctors will conduct ear, nose, throat and cancer checkup etc. Dental checkup, sugar test along with eyes checkup will be done and free spectacles will be distributed during the fair.
