Coal Bearing Areas (Acquisition and Development) Act, 1957 (20 of 1957) (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) and published in the Gazette of India, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii), dated the 17th May, 2014, the Central Government gave notice of its intention to acquire 128.658 hectares (approximately) or 317.92 acres (approximately) land as all rights in or over such lands specified in the Schedule appended to that notification.
