SCHEDULE - For Private Land Acquired in the Maharashtra State

NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 9th August, 2019

S.O. 2888(E).— WHEREAS certain parcels of land, specified in the Schedule annexed hereto and located in the State of Maharashtra are required for public purpose, namely, “Mumbai-Ahmedabad High Speed Rail Project” and the Government of Maharashtra is required to acquire the land situated within its Territory;

AND WHEREAS the Government of Maharashtra, on the request of Central Government, is in the process of issuing several notifications under sub-section (l) of section 11 of Right of Fair Compensation in Land Acquisition (Rehabilitation and Resettlement) Act, 2013 #(30 of 2013) (the said Act) for acquisition of land for the aforesaid public purpose and also appointed Land Acquisition Officers by designating them as Competent Authority for Land Acquisition for the said purpose;

AND WHEREAS in relation to acquisition of land situated within the territory of Maharashtra, the Government of Maharashtra is the appropriate Government and in relation to acquisition of land for public purpose in more than one State, the Central Government in consultation with the concerned State Government, is the appropriate Government under sub- clauses (i) and (iv) of clause (e) of section 3 of the said Act, respectively;
