162. स्वर्णिम काल के लिए स्कीम -- (1) साधारण बीमा कंपनी (राष्ट्रीयकरण) अधिनियम, 1972 (1972 का 57) या तत्समय प्रवृत्त किसी अन्य विधि या विधि का बल रखने वाली किसी लिखत में किसी बात के होते हुए भी भारत में तत्समय कारबार कर रही साधारण बीमा कंपनियां इस अधिनियम के उपबंधों के अनुसार और इस अधिनियम के अधीन बनाई गई स्कीम के अनुसार सड़क दुर्घटना पीड़ितों के, जिसके अंतर्गत स्वर्णिम काल के दौरान हुई दुर्घटनाओं के पीड़ित भी हैं, उपचार के लिए उपबंध करेंगी ।
(2) केन्द्रीय सरकार स्वर्णिम काल के दौरान सड़क दुघर्टना के पीड़ितों के नकदी रहित उपचार के लिए स्कीम बनाएगी और ऐसी स्कीम में ऐसे उपचार के लिए निधि के सृजन संबंधी उपबंध अंतर्विष्ट हो सकेंगे।
162. Scheme for golden hour -- (1) Notwithstanding anything contained in the General Insurance Companies (Nationalisation) Act, 1972 (57 of 1972) or any other law for the time being in force or any instrument having the force of law, the insurance companies for the time being carrying on general insurance business in India shall provide in accordance with the provisions of this Act and the schemes made under this Act for treatment of road accident victims, including during the golden hour.
(2) The Central Government shall make a scheme for the cashless treatment of victims of the accident during the golden hour and such schemę may contain provisions for creation of a fund for such treatment.
