किसी महिला के पति या पति के नातेदार द्वारा उसके प्रति क्रूरता करना

धारा - 85. किसी महिला के पति या पति के नातेदार द्वारा उसके प्रति क्रूरता करना - जो कोई, किसी महिला का पति या पति का नातेदार होते हुए, ऐसी महिला के प्रति क्रूरता करेगा, वह कारावास से, जिसकी अवधि तीन वर्ष तक की हो सकेगी, दण्डित किया जाएगा और जुर्माने का भी दायी होगा ।

Section 85. Husband or relative of husband of a woman subjecting her to cruelty.- Whoever, being the husband or the relative of the husband of a woman, subjects such woman to cruelty shall be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to three years and shall also be liable to fine.
