ख - मजिस्ट्रेट और पुलिस को सहायता
37. जनता कब मजिस्ट्रेट और पुलिस की सहायता करेगी -- प्रत्येक व्यक्ति, ऐसे मजिस्ट्रेट या पुलिस अधिकारी की सहायता करने के लिए आबद्ध है, जो निम्नलिखित कार्यों में उसकी सहायता उचित रूप से माँगता है--
(क) किसी अन्य ऐसे व्यक्ति को, जिसे ऐसा मजिस्ट्रेट या पुलिस अधिकारी गिरफ्तार करने के लिए प्राधिकृत है, पकड़ना या उसका निकल भागने से रोकना; अथवा
(ख) परिशान्ति भंग का निवारण या दमन; अथवा
(ग) किसी रेल, नहर, तार या लोक-सम्पत्ति को क्षति पहुँचाने के प्रयत्न का निवारण ।
B - AID TO THE MAGISTRATES AND THE POLICE
37. Public when to assist Magistrates and police ---- Every person is bound to assist a Magistrate or police officer reasonably demanding his aid
(a) in the taking or preventing the escape of any other person whom such Magistrate or police officer is authorised to arrest; or
(b) in the prevention or suppression of a breach of the peace; or
(c) in the prevention of any injury attempted to be committed to any railway, canal,telegraph or public property.
