Mukhyamantri Shahari Swachchhata Mission and Swachchh Bharat Abhiyan merged

Milk to be served in anganwadis 3 days a week

For strengthening urban sanitation arrangement in the state, Mukhyamantri Shahari Swachchhata Mission being implemented at the state level has been merged into Swachchh Bharat Mission. A meeting of the state cabinet chaired by Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan decided it here today.

It was also decided that toilets sanctioned under Mukhyamantri Shahari Swachchhata Mission should be constructed through prevalent process. Selected beneficiary will be given the choice of constructing toilet himself or through concerning local body. Amount to be distributed as Central and State share for construction of individual clean toilets under Swachchh Bharat Mission was also fixed. Accordingly, in Rs. 13 thousand 600 cost of toilet, Rs. 4000 will be Central share, Rs. 6,880 State share, Rs. 1360 local body share and Rs. 1360 will be share of beneficiary. Every toilet-less house owner will be eligible for subsidy for constructing individual toilet.

Subsidy for construction of public toilets fixed

Amount of subsidy for construction of public toilets was also fixed. Accordingly, Central share will be 40 percent, state share 50 percent and share of local body will be 10 percent. Except Bhopal and Indore, central share will be 40 percent, state share 45 percent and urban body share 15 percent in all other municipal corporations. For Bhopal and Indore municipal corporations, central share will be 40 percent, state share 40 percent and urban body share 20 percent. The cabinet endorsed decision to construct public toilets in urban areas under PPP mode.

State level Swachh Bharat Mission (Shahari) high power committee formed

For septage management under Mukhyamantri Shahari Swachchhata Mission in Nagar Parishad and Nagar Palika Parishad, state grant will be 90 percent and body’s share 10 percent. For this work, state’s share will be 85 percent and body’s 15 percent in municipal corporations except Bhopal and Indore. It would be 80 and 20 percent respectively, in Bhopal and Indore. A high power committee headed by the Chief Secretary under Swachchh Bharat Mission (Shahari) has also been constituted.

Administrative sanction to Gopalpura canal medium project

The cabinet accorded administrative sanction of Rs. 7905.21 lakh for works of Gopalpura canal medium project in Sagar and Damoh districts. The project will irrigate 6114 hectares annually in Rabi season. The project will benefit 23 villages in Sagar district and 5 in Damoh district. Under the project, irrigation is proposed from Pagara reservoir of Pancham Nagar project in Banda development block in Sagar district.

Limited competitive exam for posts of Amin

The cabinet decided to give one-time relaxation in provisions of service recruitment rules for filling vacancies of Amin in Water Resources Department. Instead of direct recruitment, these vacancies will be filled by Engineer-in-Chief Water Resources through limited competitive exam. Minimum academic qualification of candidate will be graduation and minimum age 54 years instead of 35 years.

Sweetened milk in anganwadis 3 days a week

It was decided to serve sweetened milk 3 days a week in anganwadis in the state. This decision of the cabinet will benefit 29 lakh children of anganwadis and 45 lakh 84 students of all primary schools. At mid-day meal, every child will be served 100 ML sweetened flavoured milk.

One time settlement scheme in tribals’ loan cases sanctioned

The cabinet sanctioned one time settlement scheme 2015 to lessen burden of loan on tribals. Under the scheme, only principal loan amount will be recovered from tribals. Penal interest will not be realised from any tribal. In all, 5332 tribals will be benefited under the scheme through Madhya Pradesh Tribal Finance and Development Corporation for the period from 1994-95 to 2012-13. The beneficiaries who have repaid 75 percent of loans will be exempted from interest and penal interest. A provision has been made to realise 5 or 10 percent interest from remaining defaulters.

Engineering college at Jhabua from current session

The cabinet decided to start engineering college at Jhabua from current session. The college will be affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya from academic session 2015-16. The college will be started on the premises of Jhabua Polytechnic College with 60 seats each in engineering and computer science courses. The cabinet has already decided to provide land free of cost for construction of the college building and exemption from registration and stamp fee on documents for transfer of land. Due to non-availability of necessary resources for teaching facilities in the college, the cabinet also cancelled land allotment order issued earlier. Now it has been decided to allot 10.85 hectare land free of cost at village Gadwara in Jhabua district in favour of Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya.
